Roundabout: a calm traffic puzzle game
Roundabout is a free traffic puzzle you play in the browser, on a computer or a phone. Houses and buildings appear across a small city map. Draw roads to connect each house to the building of its colour, and keep the traffic moving as the city grows. A run ends when a building waits too long for its visitors. After the first visit it also plays offline, and it can be installed on a phone or computer like an app.
How to play
- Draw roads between houses and buildings of the same colour. Cars find their own way.
- Plain crossings jam when traffic grows. Roundabouts and traffic lights keep junctions flowing.
- Bridges cross rivers, and motorways lift long routes over the streets below.
- Every trip earns coins. Each week, spend them in the shop on more road, bridges, roundabouts or lights.
- Buildings that are served well grow into busy hubs.
Controls
Drag to draw a road. Keys 1 to 6 pick a tool: road, bridge, motorway, erase, roundabout, traffic light. Space pauses, S opens the shop, Esc opens the menu. On a phone, tap the buttons instead.
Cities
- Bali: a small island with a river, where the tutorial starts.
- San Francisco: morning fog slows cars from 4 to 9 o’clock.
- New York: bridge tolls pay an extra coin for every trip across one of your bridges.
- Kuala Lumpur: monsoon showers arrive without warning and slow traffic.
- Bangkok: a canal city where crews build a free bridge every week.
- Dhaka: rush hour, so people ask for trips faster all game long.
- Riverside: a river map that starts with a bridge.
Free to play, no sign-up, and it can be added to a phone’s home screen. Made with TypeScript and PixiJS.
